It has been a very emotional time for both staff and pupils in recent weeks as we prepared to say goodbye to our old school building that has been standing since the 1950's. We have also been bidding a sad farewell to a number of our staff who have been an integral part of school for much of its existence. Please join us in wishing a happy retirement to Mr Rob Mackenzie and Mr Bob Campbell.

The photograph above of an ex-pupil of West Derby School shortly after it opened was brought in by Luke Melling (Year 10) and is a picture of his grandfather. The close-up of the badge reveals three 'deers' (relating to West Derby's Norman origins) and not crowns, indicating that our emblem has changed more than once before!
